Maria Fernanda Velasquez accepted into the Program "1000 Girls 1000 Futures"

Our 10th grade student Maria Fernanda Velasquez was accepted by the NEW YORK ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, the third oldest scientific society in the United States, to be part of the "1000 GIRLS 1000 FUTURES" program, which seeks to promote the development of science and technology in women around the world.

Maria Fernanda followed a rigorous evaluation and implementation process to be admitted as part of the program. In this initiative you will be able to share knowledge with hundreds of young people from all over the world, as women from 13 to 17 years old, interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, are sought to advance their quest for STEM careers through tutoring and skills development of the 21st century.
